Hello, my name is Mallan and this is the story of my life.

I was born in a little town called Moorbrook. I loved this town; me and my brother would play in the river that led to the Arcadian Sea, and we would play with the fey of the trees who saw us as their brothers and sisters since both our races were hated by the humans.

Our family was one of the two strix families in town. The other one, the Nowlin family, had a mom, a dad and a little boy named Malcolm. Our families were really close because we had to if we wanted to survive the humans in Moorbrook.

One night, the Nowlin boy Malcolm flew over in a crazed flight saying that his family had been slaughtered by the local human population. They had come out of the trees and killed his father and mother and burned the house down. Malcolm had barely escaped with his life. He then said they were coming for us next. My father saw them approaching the house, and he took my brother with him to see if he could reason with them. They killed him and my brother as soon as they stepped out of the house. My mother told me and Malcolm to fly away as fast as we could and to never come back to Moorbrook.

We flew away, where we were found by an orphanage 200 miles away from Moorbrook. Me and Malcolm decided to go into the orphanage. This is where I found my first love, Sarisa Greenwood, and one of my best friends Fitz. Malcolm left 3 days after we arrived and I haven’t seen him since.

When me, Sarisa, and Fitz got too old for the orphanage, we went out into the world. Me and Sarisa were engaged and were about to become married when she told me that she was in love with Fitz and not me. They left the town, and went to a place called Port Shaw.

Me being heartbroken, I traveled Golarion and started to develop a love for fighting and flying.

Two years after Sarisa broke up with me, she started to write letters to me saying to come to Port Shaw and that she needed me. She never said why, but said I would know where to find her, and this is where the story of Mallan the Airborne Ambusher of Port Shaw begins.
