After defeating the red dragon, Calypso decided that she wanted to become a mentor for younger adventurers. She traveled around, not content with Cheliax, Foundry or even good old Port Shaw, until she heard about Gildhaven. Gildhaven was a small annex of Cheliax, and was home to many new adventures.

As she was making the preparations to travel there, a small gnome came up to her and cleared its throat. “You seem to be a holy one, yes.” It spoke in a gravelly old voice.

“Yes, I am a ‘holy one’ as you say. What is it that you need? Healing? Fireballs?” she responded.

“Ahh, I will not be needing any of that magical nonsense. What I would like is a favor.”

“What manner of favor? And why should I trust you?” Her hand went to the mean-looking scimitar at her waist.

“Not of the kind you would expect. I require you to resurrect an archon to me.” He said with a stony stare.

“An archon? Thats impossible! I can’t resurrect something of that power!” she said indignantly.

“Ah, but you can. All you must do is cast resurrection on this stone” — at this, he produced a small reddish stone in the shape of an egg — “and it shall appear.”

“How do I know that you aren’t going to trick me? You know also that I require ten thousand gold pieces worth of diamond dust to perform such an act?”

With a smile, he pulled a small pouch out of his pocket. “All you require is here.” He then handed her a folded piece of parchment. She unfolded it, and inside was written:

Dear Calypso,

As your dear sister, I hope you can trust my judgment. This man desperately needs this archon, and I knew you could help him. So I sent him to you, in hopes of your aid.

Erynis

“Well, I guess so. But when I am finished, you will tell me exactly why I need to do this so badly.” She made the signs, and said the words for a resurrection on the stone.

When she was done, the little gnome smiled, and said, “Thank you. Me and Zavala will be indebted to you eternally. His stone glowed once and then he disappeared.”

Calypso, a little confused, finished her preparations, and went on her way to GIldhaven. She never forgot that little Gnome.
