Unit 11 continues the tale of the war for Drezen, as the party makes its first foray into Citadel Drezen itself. –GM
29th day of Sarenith, 4716 AR
Seeing my allies fight without being able to rush headlong into the fray with them hurt more than the pain of the demons’ weapons. Looking through a closed portcullis with mercenaries shooting arrows at me, and no other way in (or so it appeared at the time), i had one option. So i used my adaptation to be able to contort my body more flexibly and tried to get through the bars but got stuck halfway. I got through, thanks to Sean O’Connell and his golden tyrannosaurus Clover pushing me.
I rushed in and started attacking all of the demons. Meanwhile, Ghalt was picking off archers while Sean saw that some rubble blocking our way was an illusion, so he turned the corner and rushed into melee. We finished off the rest and moved on. We moved onto another battlement, cleared it of brimoraks, cutting off limbs, heads, more limbs and more heads. We went back to the camp, rested, and told tales of our bravery.
We approached the front battlement, now swarming with more brimoraks. So Ghalt wanted to use an ability he had been working on. So we got a catapult and someone to use it, Ghalt crafted a hollow boulder, with Idanogin 2.0, Sean and James inside while me, Unit 11 and Ghalt scaled the wall. So we surprised the filthy demon scum, and then the catapult let loose. The shell cracked open, and three dizzied warriors fell out. They took up arms and, after a painful fight with more limbs flying everywhere, we defeated them.
