Let’s Play Jeopardy!

08 Jan

d-and-d-jeopardyThe idea has come up to have a “Pathfinder Test” to earn XP for knowing the rules of the game. I’ll make that one better — we will have a special GAME SHOW day of the Guild!

On one day (not sure which), the first hour will be a GAME SHOW! The class will divide up into four randomly-chosen teams. If your team wins the prize is XP and the gold you “take home” from the game!*

The game will be hosted by Ronulus and his lovely assistant, Vanna Wight!

  • Ronulus will ask a series of a questions to all teams at once. Each question is worth a certain amount of gold. Every team can choose to answer it, by writing the answer on an index card and giving it to Ronulus. If they are right, they add the gold to their bank. If they are wrong, they lose the that amount of gold. If they were the first to answer AND they were right, they add DOUBLE the gold to their bank. If they don’t answer, their bank stays the same.
  • There will be a “Final Jeopardy!” round where your team can place its own bet on getting the right answer. The category will be announced before you decide on your bet.
  • The team with the most gold at the end is the winner!

* (“Take home” winnings will undergo a complex mathematical formula by the Grandmaster, reflecting players’ Guild levels.)

-Your Creative and Charismatic Grandmaster

Yes, Vanna Wight is from Wheel of Fortune, not Jeopardy, but they are both game shows so we can let it slip for now.
