When tournament characters are officially finalized on Sunday, April 13, I will determine seed numbers and who gets the “bye” week from the tournament, based on the XP of the higher-XP person in your team. (The number of teams getting a “bye” will equal the number of teams we are in excess of eight at the beginning.)
This is important for another reason: it determines your seed number in the Quarter Finals, where each team has a seed from 1 to 8. In the Qualifying Round, the team that has the least-decisive victory (determined first by time, second by HP remaining) is ranked last (#8) in the Quarter Finals and goes up against the top (#1) seed:
Match 1: 1 vs. 8
Match 2: 4 vs. 5
Match 3: 2 vs. 7
Match 4: 3 vs. 6
The winners of Matches 1 and 2 face-off in the Semi Finals, just as the winners of Matches 3 and 4 do. The winners of the Semi-Finals, of course, face-off in the Finals.
