GASP! Shopping Limits!

16 Feb

All adventures now take place in the realm of Gildhaven, with most adventurers starting in the small town of Falgrim’s Rest…

hexcrawlBeing a small town, you’re not exactly going to be able to buy a staff of power at the local market. Instead, you will only be able to buy items that are under a certain value, and a select list of items beyond that.

At the beginning of every Guild, we will go shopping (for those players whose GMs allow them to… they might not allow you to in the middle of an adventure, for example). If the item you’re looking for is under the Base Value for your settlement (for Falgrim it’s 1,300gp), then you have a 75% CHANCE of finding that item. If you don’t find it, it is unavailable to all adventurers for a week.

You can also purchase items from the list of specific items for your settlement.

treasureIf you are in the capital (which we still haven’t named), the Base Value is 5,200gp. Also, there is a larger list of specific items, and many of them are more valuable than what you would find in Falgrim.

If you are making a new character in the Guild, you may only buy items that are under your settlement’s Base Value or that appear in the settlement’s list of specific items. (And there is a 100% chance that an item is available.)

Here is what is currently available in Falgrim and the Capital: LIST OF ITEMS

Of course, the members of the High Council can make decisions that improve the economy in Gildhaven. The Council meets during the first Guild of every month to make edicts. If you higher level in The Guild, tell the Grandmaster if your character is interested in joining the High Council…
