8th day of Sarenith, 4713 AR

In the rank and dark sewers of Port Shaw, several adventurers journeyed to save their comrade Victoria from execution at the hands of the corrupt law enforcement, the Dragoons. They encountered Victoria’s water elemental familiar, who led them to a cesspool located underneath Fort Stormshield, the Dragoon’s headquarters. The group proceeded to encounter a pair of gibbering mouthers, which they made quick work of. The writer of this scripture got up to grab a caffeinated beverage in the real world, missing five minutes of the adventure. After the group finished off the beasts, they had to survive a DC 15 Climb check,  to climb up the slippery walls of the latrine pit.

Once they were in the bathroom at Fort Stormshield, our crew’s resident spellslinger, Gideon, disguised himself as a Dragoon, and the group formulated a complex plan to free Victoria. The half-orc gunslinger Gorak then proceeded to run screaming from the bathroom brandishing his pepperbox rifle, resulting in one of our heroes, Jack Ransom, being captured. The rest of the group, save for Gideon, still disguised as a Dragoon, escaped back onto the sewers, fending off a party of Dragoons who were pursuing. Gideon offered to the other Dragoons to interrogate Jack Ransom and Victoria. He led them to the interrogation room, where they planned to kill the torturer and make their escape, but to no avail. All of them died after a protracted firefight, ending our adventure in tragedy.

In other, good news, the crew finally made enough money to buy a ship, an old freighter ship.

Hmm I think everyone should have fled when they had the chance. Once things went outside the plan, it was better for everyone to retreat. Jack and Gideon were very courageous though, but still it was a hard plan to pull off on their own.

We’ll have to see. I think people really wanted to go sailing. But Jack was pretty tough under questioning so there’s still time.

Maybe it would be better if about half of us weren’t gunslingers and have diffrent classes instead.

Athos you should be something that can attack in melee because there is too many gunslingers in our group.

Good thought, Moises. That was part of why you guys were killed when you were bumrushed in the torture room.

In fact, Athos and I made Fawkes Ransom, a Fighter 4/Gunslinger 1 specializing in a spiked chain. +11 to hit, 2d4+9 damage. With power attack that becomes +9 to hit, 2d4+15 damage. +2 to disarm and has the trip weapon quality. Ouch!
