7th day of Sarenith, 4713 AR
This story starts when a young elf arrived at Port Shaw. She knew little about what was in store for her. As she walked, she noticed that there were four drunken men walking towards her. She started walking away but was soon caught up. They began tormenting her and her temper was soon drained. Then there was a shot and then another. A drunk fell to the floor apparently he was down and unconscious. Victoria realized she had been helped but she tried to run away and was stabbed with a dagger. She stumbled and walked a little more. Her temper was at its peak. Without thinking, she cast a fireball spell and the four drunks fell to the floor. The one who had fallen before was now dead. She looked back and saw that there were three men all of them had guns in their hands and were celebrating. “Amateur’s work” she said as she walked away.
She quickly found an inn in the Tide District where the barman offered her a warm stew and a drink. She accepted and found a table where she could eat. The door opened once more and there were the very men that had saved her. She tried to hide her face but they found her. They asked her to join them in the adventure to explore the Razor. She only accepted once they agreed to help her find the old necromancer fort.
They left the inn and ran into two fellows who were apparently selling illegal dragonsmoke. Victoria suspected them, but didn’t know what to do. She bought thirty jars of dragon smoke and gave it to her companions. Still heading towards the Bawd District they found an arena. Gorak volunteered to fight, but after a few seconds of being in the ring it seemed pretty clear that he was going to need the help of his friends or that he was going to lose badly. Quickly, Jack hid and aimed his gun for the person that was beating his friend, but Victoria was quicker as she cast web, trapping many of the spectators and her friend’s opponent. The party of four ran and hid in an inn for the night.
Victoria’s quick thinking had saved her and her friends many times, but she didn’t know the real trouble it would cause her. That day, they left for the magic shop. Leonardo had stayed in the inn to figure more things out. The rest went to the magic shop. As they entered, they saw an illusion of an elf maiden. None of them seemed surprised as they headed to the front desk. The shopkeeper seemed to be working on something and as they approached he put it away. “What was that? “ Victoria said curiously. “How may I help you?” the man asked. ”What was that?” Victoria asked again, this time she pulled out her dagger and said,” What is your true power?” The shopkeeper was clearly annoyed so he tried to take over Jack’s mind. Jack resisted but their trouble wasn’t done. Victoria’s companions stepped back, and Victoria cast a fireball spell on the keeper. Victoria had broken the last line and the keeper wouldn’t allow that. He cast mirror image and then paralyzed her and had her arrested.
Leonardo came after and he was told that Victoria had been arrested. He also found an old friend who owed him a favor and they all set. They went into the sewers and headed south partly knowing where to go. They quickly ran into trouble as they ran into skums and were forced to fight. Leonardo came within centimeters of dying and they had to continue their journey.
Back in jail in Fort Stormshield, Victoria was cold and hopeless. Her friends were probably doing something else instead of trying to save her. She had already given up hope when her familiar, a water elemental, came out of nowhere and told her exactly how he had found the prison through the sewers and that she still had hope. Sadly her familiar had been beaten and thrown back into the sea. While the guard wasn’t looking, she began writing the instructions through the sewers on a ripped piece of her clothing. It was her last hope of ever seeing anyone again. When she was done she got out a bird feather token from her hair. She gave it a weak smile and she whispered some strange things and then said “To my friend Leonardo.” It turned into a messenger bird and then flew out through the bars of her window. She saw her last hope to see her friends again flying away and then went to sleep.
